In the Boat

“In the Boat” by Kronheim, dated C1860. In the more romantic category of Kronheim images. It depicts a lady that we assume is being courted by the fisherman, being shown a “good time”. The inevitable Kronheim dog doesn’t appear impressed, there isn’t much fishing going on, and she seems to be doing all the work rowing to the selected location. Other characters in the background include a strolling couple over the bridge, and a family group on the bank. Unmounted. Image size 5″ x 3 1/4″. The colours are good in this example of Kronheim’s work and use of the Baxter printing process.
