Plate Size 33.0 x 46 cm (13 x 18 inches), Sheet Size 37 x 51.5 cm (14 1/2 x 20 1/4 inches). First published in the Mercator Atlas of 1595. Colouring is old. The central crease has been excellently reinforced on the back. Also on the back is this additional printing in Latin, bottom left – “If any one should know more about the British Isles, let him ask George Buchanan, William Camden, John Leslie, Richard Stanihurst, and Raphael Holinshead, who accurately described these islands”.
