“La Garlandeurs (The Garland Makers)” by Kronheim, dated C1860. Two young ladies, one who has an eye on a local hunter seen in the distance, are creating garlands from abundant flowers. This is a very colourful picture and was a popular theme seen in work by Baxter (The Conchologists) and Le Blond (The Tyrolean Waltz). Mounted in a simple cream mount with applied border line. Image size 3″ x 4 1/4″ and mount size 5 3/4″ x 7 3/4″. The title is written on the back. A really good quality example of Kronheim’s work and use of the Baxter printing process.
