“Mischievous Children” by Kronheim, dated C1860. An brother and sister messing about with the bath water. The ubiquitous Kronheim dog is in the picture. As with many of his pictures, lots of detail and social commentary as well as historical interest. The bath in the front room and the clothing styles all make for interest. Mounted in a simple cream mount with applied border line. Image size 4″ x 5 1/2″ and mount size 8″ x 9 1/2″. A really good quality example of Kronheim’s work and use of the Baxter printing process.
