Stevengraph of “The Present Time” (STG 194). This exists in a number of variations, this being the 2 carriage version with the words “….60 miles an hour” omitted. It is excellently coloured, framed in a walnut moulding, with glass at the back so the trade label can be seen. The front of the engine and the funnel are brown. The silk is excellently coloured, and the mount is clean, being of type B variation, and the trade label 4 title, making it the first issued after the York Exhibition. Dated 14 May-22 October 1879. It is a 2* rarity in the Sprake/Darby reference.
