“Edinburgh International Exhibition” (STG-) shows an aerial view of the exhibition buildings. It was woven at the Exhibition which opened on 6 May 1886 when in excess of 40,000 people attended. The Stevens stand sold these items during the Exhibition with a special mount and a 20+2 label. Sprake Darby do not include it in their reference and Godden gives it a 6 star rarity, the rarest of his classification. This rare copy is slightly trimmed as the label shows, and to the front there would have been the date “1886” under the title.
