Stevengraph Triple with WG Grace

All the Stevens combinations (two or more pictures in the same mount) are high up the rarity rating in all the reference books. They carry no identification for Stevens, no printed title and no trade label. It is speculated that these may have been assembled by an enterprising agent or retailer (see Godden 73 Multi-Subject Pictures page 209), but what is certain is their extreme rarity. This is of exquisite quality in colouring and mount condition. This consists of “The Meet” (STG 165) on the left, “WG Grace” (STG 75) in the centre, and “The Death” (STG 167) on the right. It is a strange choice to have two hunting images and then one of a sportsman, no matter how famous he was. WG Grace included makes a most desirable combination, his silk image by Stevens being as rare as it is. Exactly as represented on Page 210 of the Godden reference.
