” International Exhibition Glasgow 1888″ STG 120. This very rare silk attracts a 5 star category from the Sprake/Darby reference book. It is size 3 in the same book which is one of the larger Stevengraphs. It is a landscape view of the exterior and is not listed on the standard back labels. The picture was probably only sold at the exhibition and this accounts for its rarity. Unusually it is on a Type B2 mount whereas in the Godden reference book they are all expected in the B mount. The label is the 23+27+2 variation and was used in the period March or April 1888. The mount is slightly creased top left, and lower centre around the silk, which is itself brightly coloured. An excellent opportunity to acquire this very rare Stevengraph.
