Le Messager Galant

“Le Messager Galant” by Kronheim, dated C1860. The lady keenly awaits a message from her beau, and the young lad is about to deliver it. We have grapes hanging from the extensive vine foliage in what looks like a villa environment. The Kronheim dog is present yet again. Mounted in a simple cream mount with applied border line. Image size 5 1/4″ x 6 1/2″ and mount size 8″ x 12 1/2″. The title is printed below the image. A really good quality example of Kronheim’s work and use of the Baxter printing process. The period dress is most striking.
