This is a beautiful set of needlebox prints dated 1850, CL138 “The Greek Dance”. Normally paired with “The Hareem” set. When this set was cut the images were directed, by Baxter, to be called – 1. Love & Jealousy, 2. The Wreath Dance, 3. The Greek Dance, 4. The Guitar, 5.The Playful Child. As Baxter collectors know, five individual prints also make up one complete picture too. The colours are quite excellent and this item is mounted upon a white card with a gilt border. Popular with both Baxter and sewing item collectors. 4 7/8″ x 1 7/8″.
