The name on the Baxter Stamp is “The Tarantella Dance” (CL153) and this popular print was produced in 1850. Signed bottom left this is usually called the “large” Tarantella. It’s reduced size is normal for this item but it is very rare (Courtney Lewis) on a SM. Lovely colours and an unusual copy. (CL153) Signed on the left in the grass “Printed in oil colours and published by G Baxter, Patentee, 11, Northampton Square”.
