“Charge of the British Troops on the Road to Windlesham” CL No 198 by George Baxter. Dated 1854, 9 1/2″ x 4 7/8″. Signed and dated bottom left this depicts army exercises on Chobham Common prior to the break out of war with Russia. The Courtney Lewis book includes an immense amount of detail on this print, emphasising the importance of the exercises at this time.
