“The Reconciliation” (CL No 332) dated 1852. Used as an illustration in Jullien’s Album (Music No 9) of this date it had a gilt border – this copy does not, is unmounted and has a square top. It is from a painting by Watteau and was also printed by Le Blond. There is no lettering in the picture and it was produced from eleven blocks. A very period image but it has its charm. This copy has wonderful colours and is in excellent condition. It is on the original card mount without the Stamped Mount. Produced from eleven blocks, and in this state it is considered rare in the CL reference.
