“Eu Cathedral” CL No 331 dated 1848. Used in Le Souvenir of 1849, the picture shows Louis Philippe, Duke of Orleans, leaving for Paris after the visit by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert to Eu. He abdicated after the revolution in 1848, escaping on a British vessel. He lived in England until his death in 1850. This is a Blue Lined Mount version. From the Bertrand Morgan collection.
