"The Pedler" (LB No 82, CL 98), an oval by Abraham Le Blond (1819-94). This oval is signed bottom right. An itinerant salesman, a common sight in Victorian times, put out of business by the village shop. It is a medium rare oval. Dated 1850-1867. The image is perfect with a few foxing marks on the mount to the left.
