Lucy Dawson Book Illustration

Lovely book illustration by Lucy Dawson. She did numerous dry point etchings, poster designs, and book illustrations, among the best being: “Dogs as I see Them” 1936, “Dogs, Rough and Smooth” 1937, “Lucy Dawson’s Dog Book” 1939, “Neighbours” 1946. Reproductions of her work were covered in US and UK magazines, and she also worked under the name of “MAC”. Pastel was her favourite medium, and she exhibited for many years at the RI galleries in Piccadilly. This image includes a cat, not one of her usual subjects. Framed and glazed, and in a triple mount, this attractive picture is ready to hang.
