This 1852 print, “So Nice” (CL267) has a natural companion in CL No 263 “I Don’t Like it”. It is not signed. It is of a male, wearing his hair long as was the fashion. It, probably with the Holy Family, is the most popularly seen Baxter image. This copy has excellent detail and colourings, and the rosy cheeks are a good sign that it is Baxter’s work. Also, the reflection in the vase is pronounced, whereas the Le Blond equivalent is overpainted red. It is unmounted. 4″ x 5 1/2″.
