“The Village Spring” (LB No 88 CL No 104), one of Abraham Le Blond’s series of 32 rural scene ovals. It shows a typical English village picture from the C19th. Lovely colours and one of Le Blond’s prettiest scenes. Dated 1850-1867. The mount is clean. Two signatures within the image, of Le Blond & Co, London, and LA Elliot & Co Boston.
