A lovely little box with the tesserae title “Needles” on the top. There is no tesserae decoration around the side of the box. Neat little boxes with the name of the item in tesserae can be attributed to TL Green in the period 1931-9. It is one of a number of similarly produced boxes of about the same dimensions but with different titles on the top. Here is another example available using a different wood. Size 2 3/8″ x 1 1/4″ x 3/4″. A beautiful sewing accessory.
