Originally produced by Baxter 20 November 1857, this delightful picture romanticising the rural idyll was taken from a painting by Shayer who also painted “Harvest Time”. The signature of Le Blond to bottom left. . The detail is exquisite, and it was produced from 10 blocks. The colours are quite excellent.
