“May Day” (LB No 85 CL No 101) by Abraham Le Blond (1819-94). See Lycett/Martin reference book on page 29 for considerable detail relating to the event. Single signature version with Le Blond’s details bottom centre. A clean mount, and excellent colourings. This shows the annual celebration with a real mixture of attendees, some with disguises. This picture was also placed on a Prattware potlid. There are some good copies around which were thought to be from Germany.
