Black Pot Lid Frame (PLF1)

This black potlid frame is a vintage item and available as is – 5 1/4″ across (13.3 cms) with an aperture of 4″ (10.2 cms), ideal for a medium sized lid. Ideally, this is a snug fit from the rear, but it will hide the extreme edge of the potlid. It could also accommodate a medium lid from the front, but not such a snug fit and demanding greater care when fixing from behind with the corks. It is 3/4″ deep, and the hanging is a single ring and split ring. Don’t worry about securing your potlid into the frame. It is done with cork and hot glue. I shall send you the cut cork and instructions if you need this. The process is easily reversible and will not affect your pot lid adversely. The images show a medium lid from the front and the back, being Pot Lid No 191   “The Albert Memorial” (front fitting) and Pot Lid No 240 “The Village Wedding” (rear fitting). It is recommended this frame be used for the latter – rear fitting – of a medium sized lid.
