An unusual item in Tunbridgeware, being a pair of bookmark disks. Probably being one of the smallest pieces of Tunbridgeware made, they were attached to a long ribbon and then draped into the spine of the book. Because of their design it allowed them to be used with the larger books, such as family bibles. Each one unscrews, as can be seen in the pictures, to facilitate the replacement of the ribbon. Sized 2 cms across and 1.25 cms deep, and 1.75 cms across and 1.25 cms deep. They are quite a rare item. The designs are based upon the Barton star and cross.
