This Tunbridgeware nutmeg grater in rosewood has a domed lid with a stickware star pattern to the centre. The graduated side displays two sets of ribbing of four ridges to a small foot. It opens to the grater on top and the base unscrews for the nutmeg compartment, containing one nutmeg. It is dated C1850. These are well sought after and can be very expensive. They are hard to attribute as most of the manufactories produced them.
