“The Rose” (LB No 33) is an unsigned contribution to the Small Figure and Fancy Subjects. Many were used for ticket labels to attach to dress materials and other textile fabrics. This was a significant trade in the 1850s. An interesting piece of ephemera. To the bottom left is the Le Blond attribution including the oil colours description, and to the right Licencees, London.
