Hardwood Easel

This decorative reproduction hardwood (mahogany) carved easel is 1.2 m high (floor ro top of decorative head), and the picture bar is 40 cms wide. The bar can be adjusted from the lower level to the uppermost point by 28 cms. It is therefore ideal for a medium sized framed picture of 75 cms across to 60 cms high. It is well constructed so the picture is secure on the bar which in turn is retained by a shaped wooden peg. It is of such a height that it could be used for display in a gallery on a low table to get the best effect of the framed picture, or on the floor. Of course it could also be used for a portfolio of unframed images using the depth of the support bar of 30 cms from easel frame to front of bar rebate. Looks great polished up. It is not new and has been used at antique fairs for many years. Unlikely to see another like it! It is really elegant and an excellent way to display a picture.
