“Grandmother’s Snuff Box” (LB 100, CL No 111). Le Blond completed few interior scenes within the ovals series, this being one. The furnishings and detail is really interesting. Gran’s cap is being worn with her spectacles as the snuff is passed around. The cat has been included but declined! Gran looks on from the door as does the parrot from his cage. It makes a natural pair with “Grandfather’s Pipe” (LB 99 CL No 110). A nicely coloured copy, the mount having been trimmed slightly.
