“Windsor Castle” CL No 281 dated 1850. Also called “Returning from Stag Hunting” this print is signed in the bottom centre – “Printed in Oil Colours & Published by G Baxter, Patentee, 11, Northampton Square” in three lines. The image was used on Potlid No 180. It was produced from 12 blocks. The Castle can be seen in the rear of the picture. The Courtney Lewis reference rates it as “Medium Rare”. It is mounted in a cream mount with a gold line decoration, ready for framing.
